Description
For children ages 3+ to participate fully in the Workshop.
Four lessons will be timetabled for each child per day;
A Private Lesson -individual lessons are given to each child within a Masterclass setting of 4 children. Children and parents learn from the individual tuition of other children.
A Suzuki Group lesson – this is the traditional Suzuki group session including a Review of earlier repertoire and play-together on digital pianos; an opportunity to lead pieces and gain valuable in depth and fun experiences together, encouraging working together.
Then two of the following classes, tailored to the age and stage of each child;
Jazz and Improvisation classes (in a group digital piano setting) lead by Richard Michael, culminating in a performance on Friday morning.
Ensembles in the form of Piano Duets, culminating in a performance on Friday afternoon.
Classes start at 8.30am and finish by 6pm.
Performance Platform
We offer everyone the opportunity to perform in a Friday afternoon Recital Platform (no trainers please. Dress code is smart. This will reflect the investment of all those hours of practice!)
Parent Talks
Inspirational talks will be timetabled during the workshop
For Younger Siblings
There will be a free early music education class for younger siblings.
For Parents and Children
Music-making is arranged in the evening. This includes choir and ensemble,so if you wish, do please bring your instrument (and sheet music) with you.
