Responsibilities

  • Considerate behaviour is expected of all course participants at all times.
  • Please take full responsibility for the children you bring while on the Christ College site and on any excursion trip.
  • Please take full responsibility for your child or children when using the swimming pool.
  • Ensure that your teenage child or children, whether accompanied or unaccompanied on the course, understands the requirement for good and considerate behaviour, and the absolute zero tolerance of their use of alcohol, drugs or any form of smoking. The BRECON INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL reserves the right to require teenagers breaking these rules to leave the course during the week and to ban such teenagers from attending the course in future.
  • You will be held responsible for any damage you or your child or children cause to the property of Christ College Brecon, or the BRECON INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL, and the cost of repair or replacement will be charged to you.
  • Videoing and Photography
  • You authorise the BRECON INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL to use photographic and video images of your child or children for recognition, training or promotional purposes.
  • However, if you do not wish your child to be photographed or videoed, you may opt out requesting this information on the application form.
  • You may video record your own child’s performance and share it publicly if you wish, but you are requested and expected to be as unobtrusive as possible whilst videoing.
  • You may not video or photograph children from other families unless you have obtained the permission of their parents beforehand.
  • You may not video members of the faculty without their permission.
  1. Privacy and Data Protection

You permit the BRECON INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL to hold the personal information submitted in your booking for the purposes of organising and running the summer school.

Returns and Refunds Policy

Covid-19

  • If you cancel before arrival due to a Covid-19 infection in your immediate family or if you must self-isolate, you’ll receive a full refund of your course fees, minus the deposit and bank transfer charges. You’ll need to provide a medical certificate or record of your self-isolation. 
  • You can apply for places at the Brecon summer school. You’ll need to pay a deposit of £100 per person when you register. If the course is full and your booking can’t be confirmed, you’ll get a full refund of your deposit.

Your places will not be confirmed until the complete deposit payment is received and you are sent an invoice showing the balance.

Government restrictions

If you’re unable to travel to  the summer school due to government restrictions, you’ll receive a full refund of your course fees, minus the deposit and bank transfer charges. 

Non-Covid-19 related cancellations

If you cancel before May 1, 2025, you’ll lose your deposit if your place can’t be filled. 

Cancellations after May 1st 2025

You’ll lose your deposit if you cancel after May 1st 2025

Cancellations after June 1st 2025

You’ll lose your fee payments if you cancel after June 1st 2025, and your place can’t be filled from the waiting list.
